  • Breakfast and Lunch are FREE for all students
  • Curtain Calls – Bak’s Morning and After-School program
    • Bak’s Morning Care program (AM) will begin Monday, August 11, 2025. If registered - drop-off is from 7:00 am to 7:45 am. The after-school program (PM) is available Monday thru Thursday from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm, and will begin on August 25, 2025. At New Student Orientation you will be able to ask questions and register. If you have any questions, reach out to Shakendra Moorer.
  • Dress Code 
  • Schedules
    • Students’ class schedules will be distributed on the first day of school. Bak MSOA uses a block schedule of alternating odd and even days (even - 2, 4, 6, 8 and odd - 1, 3, 5, 7). Each day consists of 4 classes, for a total of eight classes per student schedule. Students’ class schedules will only be changed in the occurrence of a school error when placing a student in an academic or art major class.
  • School Hours - 8:20 am - 3:30 pm
    • ALL car rides MUST use the student drop-off/pick-up road (not the Main Entrance) that begins off of North Shore Drive, which leads to the Student Drop-off/Pick-up area
      • The car loop gates open at 7:00 am – Drop-off begins at 7:55 am – students must remain in the car and only exit in the designated area.
      • The car loop gates open at 2:30 pm – Pick-up begins at 3:15 pm – students must only pick-up in the designated area.
    • Cars form a double line all the way past the marquee until they get to an area where a single line must be created. Cars wait at the cones until directed to pull forward (usually at 7:55 am) to the Student Drop-off/Pick-up where students are now permitted to get out of the car.
    • Parents may not drop off their children any earlier than 7:55 am, unless the student is registered in Morning Program (Curtain Calls).
    • Students must be in their classrooms when the tardy bell rings at 8:20 am.
    • For car rider afternoon pick-up, the North Shore gate opens at 2:30 pm. The same process as the morning drop-off applies. Drivers may not use the Main Entrance, park, get out of their car, or ask their child to walk to their car. Students may only be picked-up at the designated pick-up area.
    • Dismissal of students of car riders or walking home is at approx. 3:15 pm. Tri-Rail (dismisses at 3:10 pm) and bus students are dismissed as their bus arrives.
  • Student Information System (SIS)
    • Student who attended a SDPBC public school (not charter) in SY25 have access to the Student Information System (SIS).  Students coming from non-public or Charter schools will receive a SIS account on the 1st day of school.
    • Parents that are not currently users of the district’s Student Information System (SIS), will be able to set up a SIS parent account once school begins. A letter will be sent with your PIN Number.

  • Summer Assignments
    • Please do NOT bring summer assignments to school on the first day. Teachers will let the students know when to bring in their summer assignments.
  • Supply Lists
    • During the first week of school, teachers will provide students with a list of specific supplies needed for their class. All students should come the first day of school with a backpack, pen, pencil, and notebook paper. Rolling backpacks ARE NOT allowed unless there is a medical note from a physician).  
  • Transportation Services
    • The district asks ALL parents to identify and register how their child is getting to and from school via the district website at “Register Your Ride”. The district is will be sending out information via email, so please check you email and your spam folder throughout the summer.
    • Per the District - YOU MAY BEGIN TO “REGISTER YOUR RIDE” on July 28, 2025  at 10:00 am. When you go to the website, it will guide you through the process.
      • Even if your child is a car rider or walker, you must register them in the system.
    • If this link is not working, please DO NOT contact Bak MSOA – we have no control over this process. Instead, go to the district website and the information will be on the Main Page or type in REGISTER YOU RIDE in the search bar.
    • IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO REGISTER, call the Transportation Department at (561) 357-1110. Transportation can register you - Bak does not register students for Transportation, that is the job and role of the Transportation Department.
    • If your address is incorrect, then email Karyna Kanhoye and provide her with the correct address and two proof of residency.
    • Palm Beach District Schools Transportation Department is responsible for all student bus/Tri-Rail transportation needs to and from school. Please direct all inquiries to the Transportation Department (561) 357-1110. Bak MSOA does not control/assign bus stop locations, pick-up or drop-off times, or eligibility for transportation services.
    • Per the district, transportation is provided if the student lives more than 2 miles from school and lives within a designated zone. Bus stops are limited and may not be near the student’s home.
    • Tri-Rail is available to students who live in south Palm Beach County and are not serviced by a school bus. Students who qualify are eligible for Tri-Rail transportation by the district and will receive a Tri-Rail pass. As of July 22, 2025, Bak students ride the Northbound train P606 to school in the morning and the Southbound train P631 home in the afternoon (subject to change).
    • Chaperones are provided on Tri-Rail by the SDPBC. School bus transportation to and from school and the Mangonia Park Station is provided for eligible Tri-Rail student riders only. For more information, and for times and locations of stops, please visit Tri-Rail’s website.
    • A revised transportation schedule for the 2025-26 school year should be available on the Transportation Department’s web page beginning August 6th. Additional bus stops will not be created regardless of a student’s proximity to the nearest bus stop location.
    • The mode of transportation that you register for (are eligible for) should be used the first day of school or at least the first week of school. The Department of Transportation makes adjustments to bus stops and schedules depending on bus usage. Please refer all concerns regarding transportation to the Transportation Department - (561) 357-1110.
